This July we’ll be covering The Influences of CHINATOWN (1974)

CHINATOWN (1974) is an American neo-noir mystery directed by Roman Polanski from a screenplay by Robert Towne starring Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway. Widely lauded as one of the greatest films of all time, the film focuses on a series of disputes over water rights in Los Angeles and features a multi-layered story that is part mystery and part psychological drama. It was nominated for 11 Academy Awards upon release, winning Best Original Screenplay for Towne. It is frequently cited as among the most influential films ever made.
