Lukas Hassel
Lukas Hassel was born and raised in Denmark. He was trained at the Samuel Beckett Theater School and Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. As a screenwriter, he is the recipient of the Screencraft and CineStory Fellowships, has placed in the top 30 for the Nicholls fellowship, and has won the Shore Film Fund and Fresh Voices TV Pilot competition. In addition to the success of Dummy, he previously directed the award-winning sci-fi short film "Into the Dark", which played in over 70 film festivals worldwide, and the horror short “The Son, The Father…” which won Best Screenplay at the Hollyshorts Film Festival and lead to Lukas signing a production deal. As an actor, Lukas has appeared as Elias VanDyke in The Blacklist, as well as in shows such as Blue Bloods, Limitless, Elementary, and more. He is currently developing his first feature as a Writer/Director.
